Around the World Black Bean Burger |
1 can black beans
1/2 can garbanzo beans
1/2 can corn
1/2 small onion, diced
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 cup chopped pecans
2 to 3 tablespoons cornmeal
- Using a food processor, blend together the black beans and garbanzo beans. Then transfer to a large bowl.
- Pour in all other ingredients and mix until well incorporated.
- Shape into patties. Then, over medium-high heat, cook with a little olive oil until browned on both sides.
- Serve with lettuce, mustard, melted pepper-jack cheese, and a whole wheat bun.
